Cuteness Everywhere..

It was a joy photographing the Brown (and extended) families recently. With so many little faces and little feet running around, I wasn't sure exactly where to point my camera. So many opportunities to capture moments that melt my heart. I wish I could have captured all of them! Thank you for the opportunity, your families are beautiful! Here are a few of the adorable faces I had the joy of photographing.

Tis the Season...

It is the time of year for, you guessed it, Christmas photos! Yesterday, I had the privilege of photographing some good friends of the family. I had to post at least one preview photo for them....it makes me smile each time I look at it! Thanks for driving all the way here, in the blizzard, to allow me the pleasure of taking your photos!

Look To Him...

I so often ask the Lord that I would be a light in a world that isn't so bright. Whether it be by my actions, my words, or my lack of the two. Yet, so often, when I fail (and I quite often do) my attitude is that of a failure or disappointment. Although we are called to live by faith and display Christ likeness in our daily lives, so often I focus too much on my external behavior and forget the focal point, the entire reason for our existence....Christ!

Break away from your personal concern over your own spiritual condition, and with a completely open spirit, consider the tragedy of God. "Look to me...."(Isaiah 45:22) Pay attention to the external Source and the internal power will be there. We lose power because we don't focus on the right thing. We are to preach "Jesus Christ and Him crucified" (1 Corinthians 2:2) The proclaiming of Jesus will do its own work. If I share my own words, they are of no more importance than your words are to me. But if we share the truth of God with one another, we will encounter it again and again. We have to focus on the great point of spiritual power - the Cross. - Oswald Chambers

The Leung Family | Lafayette, IN Family Photographer

I was asked to take some photographs of our friends, the Leung family, this weekend. I had so many laughs photographing this family. From their adorable daughter and her heavy/sleepy eyes created by the shock of the dreaded daylight savings time change....to the hilarious strives her daddy took to get her to smile. We also battled some crazy wind and bright (unlike November) sun....but over all it was great shoot! What a joy it was to be able to capture some great moments for this fun family! Here is a preview of what I captured from behind the lens.

KateLyn | Peru, IN Senior Portrait Photographer

I have been waiting and waiting to take these photos. My beautiful sister-in-law KateLyn agreed to let me take her senior photos. I have been waiting for months and the time finally arrived last weekend. We went to a familiar place in our hometown that I have had my eye on, Cole Brothers. Just as I thought, the place was perfect for photographs. Of course, I had the perfect senior model for the shoot! Thanks KateLyn for being willing to climb walls, walk through thistles, and risk ruining your amazing boots for this shoot! I had a blast and I hope you did too, Love you!

Wes | Peru, IN Senior Portrait Photographer

Recently, I had the opportunity to travel back to my home town and take some senior photos for Wes. As we were talking about school and teachers, I realized that I am MUCH older than what I realized. Where has time gone? It feels like just a few years ago that I was sitting on the other side of the lens having my senior photos taken. Apparently, it has been much longer than a few years....more like ten. Either way, it was nice to hear a few updates on my old hometown high school . Wes, enjoy the rest of your senior year, I'm sure you will do great things!

Baby M | Lafayette, IN Children's Photographer

I had the opportunity to photograph this little guy for the 2nd time! It is such a blessing to be called back to take more photos for a family. To see the progression of this little life through my camera is an amazing thing. He is such an adorable little guy, and his eyes...... just can't get any cuter than this! Not so sure about these leaves.

He's a fan too! Go Colts!

Brandon and Abby

Recently, I had the priveledge of photographing the wedding one of my sister's close friends. Because my sister was in the wedding, Bradley was my second shooter. We had an absolute blast. He was such an amazing help. I am so blessed to have a husband that is more than willing to enjoy my hobbies! The wedding was such a sweet reminder of our wedding almost two and a half years ago. The ceremony and reception were beautiful, the bride even more stunning. Abby you are a beautiful bride! Congratulations!

Three Sisters.

I am so grateful that God blessed me with a sister. Although there are eight years between us, as we get older, our connection gets stronger. We have similar things in common including a giddiness that only we share. We laugh hysterically together and sometimes even we don't understand why. I love you Rach and wish you the best in whatever God leads you to do. It was because of this, that I was so excited to photograph these three sisters. One of them a former student and all three absolutely beautiful. They wanted these photos taken for their mom as a birthday suprise. Mama Evelyn you should be so proud.
