Cabin Fever.

It has been two weeks since I have updated! I am trying to focus all of my attention on being a better wife to my husband and a better mother to my children in order to ultimately please God. Spending lots of time on the computer doesn't get me any closer to that goal. However, today I am home sick....again. Something is going around our house and mom's got it. So today I have decided to do an update of that past couple weeks. Reminder..... we have not got out much because of the freezing weather. I am ready to shoot outdoors! I have recently scheduled a wedding in April and Saturday I have the opportunity to shoot some anniversary photos for my friends! Be looking for those.........I can't wait!

Here is an update of the past two weeks.....in pictures. Warning: lots of photos!

Falling deeper in love with my husband.....even our shoes look good together.

Lots of lazy days.....

New Lens

Well....it has arrived. My new 50mm f/1.4 lens. It works great, just as I thought it would. My kids AND my cats are fed up with the camera being in their faces constantly.

Three day weekend coming up! I can't wait to sleep in, watch the playoffs, and wear sweats....with Bradley! We are both extremely exhausted, such a crazy week, but God is good.

Kahle after his bath.....all clean.

Snow Day.

Despite the illness, we loaded on the gear and braved the cold. The snow was absolutely beautiful. God is so good and His creation is so magnificent. The verse speaking of, "Storehouses laden with snow", passed through my mind all day as I watched the snow flakes fall and the drifts build.

Addison could have played in the snow all day. She is such an outdoorsy kind of girl.
This was Kahle's first time playing in the snow. At first overwhelmed, then overjoyed!

Home.

I love being home. More than that, I love being home with my family. The last two weeks were such a blessing. We slept in late, wore our pajamas all day, played with all the new toys and games, and watched an occasional football game. It was so nice. We were also able to visit friends and family and even host some friends at our house. Now that work has returned, so has the sleepiness. I am trying to keep a good attitude about my current position. I have been praying that God would graciously remind me that I am working for Him and His glory, not for myself and mine. He has been faithful, like always, but now I have this awful cold which has just paralyzed me. Actually, it might be a blessing in disguise, an excuse to stay home tomorrow and rest.

Not kidding about this....Addison just came up to me, stood by my side, and said, "Mommy, I hope you don't die." I hate being sick and my kids hate it too!
